If you take payments through your website with Verifone, your customers can now check out using Apple Pay or Google Pay. Apple Pay is one of the fastest-growing checkout methods in New Zealand. Customers using it convert at a higher rate because it removes the friction of entering card details. 

Update your surcharge rate

The Bill that would have banned most in-store card surcharges has stalled while the Government considers the wider implications. No changes have been confirmed. We're monitoring the situation and will keep you updated.

Separately, Interchange fee caps have recently reduced the cost of accepting many card payments. If you haven't reviewed your surcharge rate, it may no longer be compliant. Now is a good time to check it reflects what you're actually paying.
